Responsibilities of Healthcare Professionals

While MediScan AI may provide assistance in generating medical record summaries and other related documents, it is essential to emphasize that healthcare professionals, including doctors and other professionals in the Med/Legal space, retain the primary responsibility for:

  • Creating accurate and comprehensive treatment plans, diagnoses, and reports based on their professional judgment and expertise.
  • Ensuring the quality, accuracy, and completeness of all medical documentation, including any summaries or reports generated using the Services.
  • Conducting thorough assessments of patient conditions, considering all relevant information beyond automated summaries provided by MediScan AI.
  • Complying with all applicable laws, regulations, and ethical standards governing the practice of medicine and the handling of patient information.
Independence of Professional Judgment

Healthcare professionals should exercise independent judgment and critical thinking when using the Services provided by MediScan AI. While the Services may assist in summarizing medical records and organizing information, they should not replace or diminish the role of healthcare professionals in making informed decisions about patient care.

Collaboration with Other Healthcare Professionals

Healthcare professionals are encouraged to collaborate with other members of the healthcare team and consult with specialists or colleagues as needed to ensure comprehensive and effective patient care. The Services provided by MediScan AI may facilitate communication and collaboration among healthcare professionals but should not replace direct communication or consultation when necessary.

Compliance with Legal and Ethical Standards

Healthcare professionals using the Services provided by MediScan AI are expected to comply with all applicable legal and ethical standards governing the practice of medicine, including patient confidentiality, informed consent, and professional conduct.

Reporting Violations

Users are encouraged to report any violations of this AUP by contacting MediScan AI at compliance@mediscan.ai. Reports should include detailed information about the alleged violation and any supporting evidence.
